-This WebQuest was designed for a class of fifth semester students at a private high school in the city of Hermosillo, Mexico. The subject matter is Phonetics and Phonology. This subject is part of the institution’s English program, and its nature is optional.

 

-The WebQuest was designed as a final project for having students practice and reinforce the most problematic English sounds for Spanish speakers, more specifically in the context of Mexico.

 

-These sounds were properly taught and practiced during the whole semester.

 

-A pre-requisite to carry out this project is that students have basic knowledge on how to use the web 2.0 and an intermediate (B1) or high-intermediate level of English (B-2).

 

-It is important to notice that the subject is not taught the same way as it would be in a Bachelor degree in Linguistics or English Teaching.
